We believe everyone deserves access to free, independent, impartial, confidential advice to help them deal with life's problems and challenges. We have both paid staff and volunteers to support us delivering this service, whether that's directly through providing advice and support to clients, or behind the scenes, in our admin, communication, IT and other support teams.
Citizens Advice Reading recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

helping people online, over the phone or in person
raising funds
researching and campaigning for policy change
helping the service to run smoothly in our admin and customer service roles
promoting the service through our social media channels
as a trustee.
No matter what role you undertake, we'll give you full training and support. We have a strong, supportive culture, free from discrimination and want to our staff and volunteers to reflect the local community.
We need new volunteers to join our Advice Team to provide advice and support to our clients, both face to face and on the telephone. You don’t need any particular qualifications or experience to train for this role.
We will be recruiting for the next Volunteer Adviser training programme later in the year. If you're interested, please see the application pack below.
Citizens Advice Reading is looking to strengthen its Board with some new Trustees. Board experience is preferred but not essential. More importantly, we ask that you support our work, bring sound judgement and good governance.
The role is voluntary and the time commitment is approximately 4 - 6 hours per month. Please see the advert for more information.
If you are interested in other volunteer roles have a look at our volunteering page on the national Citizens Advice website for how to apply.
