We're working in a new way
Because of changes to how we are funded, we’re now offering a specialist advice service. Our key focus areas are benefits - including Universal Credit, debt and money, utilities and immigration.
Self referral
You can refer yourself to our specialist teams. These teams can help you with benefits, debt, energy, cost of living and immigration issues. If you have an issue in one of these areas, please complete our self referral form.
Online advice
You can find comprehensive online advice provided by the national Citizens Advice service.
There are also webchat services available, one for debt advice and one for other issues.
Telephone advice
The opening hours are slightly different for each service, but all are available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with some open a little longer.
Although there is likely to be a long wait before your call is answered, you should be able to speak to an adviser straight away who should be able to give you some next steps. From there you may need a referral to one of our specialist services or to another agency.
